Why would I buy toast when I can make some myself?

Lots of people see your name on toast (your actual name...on actual toast)

You get lots of traffic driven to your site.
That's the idea anyway. It seems to be working pretty well.

Why are you giving all of the profits away to a brilliant charity?

Well, we'd like to make some money; that'd be nice, but we'd prefer to make the world a wee bit better.

Why would I pay $500 for a listing when I could get one for $200?

People are interested in who's paid the most for a bit of toast. We are anyway.
Interestingness (kind of) equals clicks.
Also, it's for a brilliant charity.

What do you use to write on the toast?

Well, today we're using Sharpies, but this could change. We'll keep you updated.

What will you do when the front page has far too much toast on it?

No idea. We might use some clever "click here to reveal" ajaxy thing, or maybe just run on a second page. Who would know?
Regardless, the highest priced toast will always be on the front page and the rest of the toast won't be too far behind.

Can I have my name on lots of pieces of toast?

Yes. You can create a sequence of toast by buying lots of the same value at the same time. Each will cost you a minimum of $200, though.

Can I change my toast once it's up?

Nope, sorry. This would be a logistical nightmare.

Instead of words, could you copy my logo onto some toast?

We'll give it a go, but we can't promise it'll look good.

How many words can I have on my toast?

Not many! Turns out it's really hard to write on toast. No more than about 6-7 characters per line, and no more than 3 lines is a good guideline.

Will the base price for toast always be $5

Nope. In fact it's $200 now (and rising...)

How long will it take before my toast is live?

We'll try our best to get everything up within 2-3 days. No promises, but we'll try our best.

What are my rights when I buy my name on toast?

We'll try our very best to maintain a high level of up-time on the site for at least 2 years. You're buying a link from our site, so although your toasty link will be part of Your Name On Toast, you won't own a piece of the site itself (or the toast, for that matter).

Anything else?

Oh yes, we reserve the right to refuse your order for any reason at all.

It's really very likely that we'll turn you down if there's anything pornographic, evil or otherwise objectionable and if anything like this appears on your site afterwards, we reserve the right to pull your ad. Sorry, but we're running a kid-friendly site here.
